Bucharest: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that he conducted discussions with leaders from Bulgaria, Moldova, Romania, and Serbia during the Ukraine-Southeast Europe Summit. The talks centered on regional security, energy cooperation, and Ukraine's ongoing efforts to join the European Union.

According to Anadolu Agency, Zelenskyy engaged in discussions with Bulgarian Prime Minister Rossen Jeliazkov, focusing on bilateral relations, Black Sea security, and energy cooperation. He expressed confidence in the progress towards EU membership negotiations and thanked Bulgaria for its support through 11 defense aid packages.

The Ukrainian President also convened a trilateral meeting with Moldovan President Maia Sandu and Romanian President Nicusor Dan. They emphasized collaborative efforts to counter Russian hybrid threats, cyberattacks, and military aggression. Zelenskyy highlighted Romania's commitment to assisting Moldova in resisting Russian influence, alongside discussions on energy and military cooperation, infrastructure, and mobility improvements.

In a separate meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Zelenskyy described the visit as significant, marking Vucic's first visit to Ukraine. Their discussions included EU integration, bilateral relations, and Serbia's proposal to aid in the reconstruction of Ukrainian settlements. Zelenskyy appreciated Serbia's support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
