Kyiv: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Kyiv's negotiators provided a detailed briefing following their discussions in the United States, focusing on refining a Geneva-based document. The talks in Florida emphasized frontline security, ceasefire risks, and diplomatic coordination with Washington and European allies.

According to Anadolu Agency, the head of the Ukrainian delegation, Rustem Umerov, along with other members, reported on key issues raised by the American side during these discussions. The work centered around the Geneva document, which has since been refined. Zelenskyy expressed gratitude to Chief of the General Staff Andrii Hnatov for delivering a comprehensive briefing to the US on the frontline situation.

Discussions involved intelligence contributions, addressing the feasibility of steps on the frontline, protection against Russian strikes, and potential ceasefire violations. Zelenskyy stressed the importance of securing robust engagement from European countries and other members of the Coalition of the Willing. He also updated his team on recent talks with European leaders and US Special Envoy for the Middle East Steve Witkoff in Paris.

Zelenskyy noted that Russia has initiated new disinformation campaigns ahead of its planned meetings with the US. He instructed continued constructive engagement with President Trump's team and European partners, highlighting the role of Ukrainian intelligence in sharing information on Russia's intentions to undermine sanctions or influence European decisions.

Emphasizing Ukraine's serious approach to diplomatic efforts, Zelenskyy stated the goal of achieving real peace and guaranteed security, which requires a similar commitment from Russia, achievable only through joint efforts with partners. The secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council will maintain ongoing contact with the US to coordinate future meetings.
