Kyiv: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine's long-range strikes have successfully reached Russian territory and shared updates on military advancements in the Donetsk region.
According to Anadolu Agency, Zelenskyy highlighted in his address that a 'Technological Staff' meeting will be held to focus on enhancing Ukraine's drone and missile production capabilities. He mentioned discussions with manufacturers and issued directives to the Defense Ministry and military for taking specific actions.
Zelenskyy also reported that Ukrainian forces are actively conducting operations near the areas of Pokrovsk and Dobropillia. He claimed that Ukrainian forces have reclaimed 174 square kilometers (67 sq. miles) and cleared 194 square kilometers (74 sq. miles) as part of ongoing military efforts.
Additionally, Zelenskyy emphasized the strategic importance of Kupyansk, a contested region in northeastern Ukraine. Meanwhile, Russia has not provided an immediate response to Zelenskyy's latest claims. However, earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry stated that its forces had captured the settlement of Shandrigolovo in the Donetsk region of Ukraine.
Independent verification of these claims remains challenging due to the ongoing conflict.
