ANKARA: Trkiye's benchmark stock index opened Monday at 9,759.28 points, decreasing 0.56%, or 54.91 points, from the previous close, after a break from the Eid al-Fitr holiday marking the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. On April 9, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 0.59% to a fresh record closing high at 9,814.19 points. The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 32.2865 as of 09.55 a.m. local time (0655GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 34.4275, while a British pound traded for 40.2671 liras.
