Istanbul:The 29th International Business Forum (IBF) has commenced in Istanbul, bringing together global business leaders to foster communication and cooperation networks. The event, part of the MUSIAD Expo 2026, is centered around the theme "The Transformation of Humanity and The Business World in the Age of AI," with Anadolu as the global communication partner.

According to Anadolu Agency, the forum was inaugurated at the Istanbul Expo Center, where MUSIAD Chair Burhan Ozdemir highlighted that MUSIAD, established in 1990, stands as the largest and most widespread non-governmental organization in Turkey.

International Business Forum President Erol Yarar explained that the IBF chooses a different topic each year, and this time the focus is on the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on humanity and the business sector. He emphasized the significance of discussing AI in the context of a new era and expressed anticipation for participants to gain insights from experts on the subject.

Yarar described AI as an unprecedented entity that influences human decision-making and warned of the potential risks posed by institutions that own AI technologies. He noted that AI's ability to process and make decisions could lead to manipulation concerns in the future.

Highlighting possible challenges, Yarar pointed out that AI might disrupt traditional learning processes, posing threats to education systems and potentially altering the mindsets of future generations by minimizing the need for process-based learning.
