Gaza: Six Palestinians, including three police officers, were killed and several injured early Sunday in Israeli airstrikes targeting police posts in southern Gaza, medical sources told Anadolu.

According to Anadolu Agency, witnesses reported that Israeli warplanes struck several police points in the al-Mawasi area in western Khan Younis. The strikes resulted in the deaths of three members of the Palestinian police force and left several others wounded.

Earlier on Saturday, three Palestinians, including two brothers, were killed and four others injured in Israeli shelling and gunfire in separate areas across the Gaza Strip. These incidents are part of a pattern of ongoing violence in the region.

Israeli forces have reportedly carried out daily violations of a ceasefire agreement that has been in place since October 10. As of March 18, these violations have resulted in the deaths of 691 people and injuries to 1,876, according to data from the Palestine Health Ministry.

The conflict escalated when Israel launched a war on Gaza in October 2023, which has so far resulted in the deaths of more than 72,000 Palestinians, injuries to around 172,000, and the devastation of approximately 90% of the enclave’s civilian infrastructure.
