Western Elites Accused of Resisting New Global System, Says Putin.

Sochi: Russian President Vladimir Putin has accused Western elites of being prepared to go to great lengths to prevent the development of a new international system. Speaking at the Valdai International Discussion Club's plenary session in Sochi, Putin argued that Western powers are unwilling to accept the inevitable changes that reflect the interests of the global majority. According to Anadolu Agency, Putin criticized the 'us versus them' mentality prevalent in the policies of the United States and its allies, labeling it as 'very dangerous.' He warned that such an approach would eventually bring about negative repercussions for those who pursue it, suggesting that a 'systemic crisis' is already unfolding in these countries. Putin expressed confidence that the West would eventually recognize the futility of its current policies. He emphasized that, unlike the West, Russia does not view Western civilization as an adversary and does not engage in divisive tactics. Instead, he urged for collaborative efforts to overcome what he described as the 'destructive actions' of opponents clinging to their monopolistic power. Furthermore, Putin accused Western politicians of engaging in 'extreme adventurism' with their attempts to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia. He contended that efforts to maintain power through force only lead to instability, tension, and destruction, without achieving the intended outcomes. Putin concluded by asserting that the trajectory of history is unstoppable, despite attempts to preserve absolute power.
