Inter Milan Held to 1-1 Draw by Serie A Leaders Napoli.

MILAN: Defending Italian Serie A champions Inter Milan were held to a 1-1 home draw with league leaders Napoli on Sunday. Napoli's Scottish midfielder Scott McTominay netted the opening goal at Milan's San Siro stadium after 23 minutes, putting the visitors ahead. According to Anadolu Agency, Inter's Turkish midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu scored a remarkable long-range goal near the end of the first half to level the score. Inter had a chance to take the lead when they were awarded a penalty in the 71st minute, but Calhanoglu's powerful shot hit the goal post, marking the first penalty miss for the 30-year-old since joining Inter in 2021. Calhanoglu has been a consistent performer for Inter, successfully converting 19 penalty kicks for the club. Despite the missed opportunity, the match ended with both teams sharing the points after the final whistle. Napoli remain at the top of the Serie A table with 26 points from 12 games, while Inter sit in fourth place with 25 points. The Italian title race is highly com petitive, as second-place Atalanta, third-place Fiorentina, and fifth-place Lazio also have 25 points each.
