Moscow: Russia's central bank has not yet determined a policy interest rate decision for December, Deputy Governor Alexei Zabotkin stated, highlighting that high price increases have remained relatively stable over the past one or two months. Zabotkin informed reporters in Moscow on Monday that the policy rate for December is anticipated to rise. According to Anadolu Agency, Zabotkin pointed out that he did not rule out the possibility of an interest rate hike, emphasizing that the decision for December is not predetermined. He explained that the final decision will be made based on the economic conditions that the board will review in mid-December. On October 25, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation increased the policy rate to a historic high of 21%, marking a 200 basis points rise. This move underscores the bank's continued efforts to manage economic stability amid fluctuating price levels.
