Turkish and Egyptian Foreign Ministers Hold Talks on Syrian Conflict.

Ankara: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan discussed developments in Syria with his Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdelatty during a phone call on Wednesday. The conversation comes amidst escalating tensions and renewed clashes in northern Syria, marking an end to a brief period of relative calm in the region. According to Anadolu Agency, clashes erupted on November 27 between Assad regime forces and anti-regime armed groups in the western countryside of Aleppo. This resurgence in violence has been a significant development in the conflict that has embroiled Syria for nearly 14 years. Armed groups opposing the Bashar al-Assad regime have made territorial gains, capturing 20 more settlements in the western province of Hama on Wednesday. Further intensifying the situation, anti-regime groups have taken control of 16 additional settlements near Hama's city center, following the capture of Pasif, Elcid, Al-Karim, and Hamra earlier in the day. They have also seized the Armored Corps School near Hama city center, a strategic base serving as the main headquarters for the regime's 25th Brigade.
