Washington: Several Arab leaders have congratulated US President Donald Trump, who took the oath of office for a second term on Monday and signed several executive orders to reset domestic and foreign policy.

According to Anadolu Agency, the leaders of the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Egypt, Jordan, and Palestine, among others, sent messages to Trump for becoming the 47th US president. UAE's President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his well wishes on X, highlighting the importance of advancing UAE-US strategic relations and promoting peace and stability in the region.

Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani conveyed his hopes for success in Trump's duties and emphasized the further development and growth of friendship and strategic cooperation between the two countries. Meanwhile, Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the strategic relationship between Bahrain and the US, as reported by the Bahraini state news agency BNA.

Oman's Sultan Haitham bin Tarik expressed his wishes for enhanced cooperation and partnership between his nation and the US, as noted by the official Omani news agency. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi shared a message on Facebook, emphasizing the importance of collaboration to strengthen strategic relations and achieve mutual interests that serve both nations and enhance global security and stability.

Jordanian King Abdullah II also congratulated Trump, expressing a commitment to work together towards a more prosperous and peaceful world. In addition, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, through the official Palestinian news agency Wafa, emphasized his readiness to work with Trump to achieve peace, guided by the two-state solution based on international legitimacy.
