Turkish Stock Exchange Rises at Thursday’s Opening

Istanbul: Trkiye’s benchmark stock index, BIST 100, began trading on Thursday at 10,095.36 points, marking a 0.18% increase, or 18.38 points, from its previous closing figure.

According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 index had previously experienced a decline of 0.44% on Wednesday, closing at 10,076.99 points with a daily transaction volume reaching 102 billion liras, equivalent to approximately $2.85 billion.

In the currency exchange market, the USD/TRY exchange rate was noted at 35.7915 as of 9.55 am (0655GMT). Meanwhile, the EUR/TRY rate was recorded at 37.2750, and the GBP/TRY was trading at 44.5255.

In terms of commodities, the price of one ounce of gold was $2,762.50, and Brent crude oil was priced at approximately $75.55 per barrel.
