Kuwait City: Kuwait announced that it had successfully foiled large-scale cyberattacks aimed at telecom towers and banks within the Gulf nation. An Interior Ministry statement revealed that these attacks were orchestrated by an international cybercrime ring consisting of Chinese nationals.

According to Anadolu Agency, the ministry confirmed that the suspects behind the cyberattacks have been arrested. The ministry emphasized its commitment to national security and the enhancement of cybersecurity protocols to safeguard the country. However, it did not disclose the number of individuals apprehended.

The statement detailed that the perpetrators employed sophisticated electronic devices and advanced data analysis techniques. Their strategy involved sending fraudulent messages that impersonated banks and telecom companies as part of a phishing scam effort. These activities aimed to deceive individuals into sharing sensitive information.

The Interior Ministry confirmed that the suspects have been handed over to the relevant authorities for legal proceedings, reinforcing the country's dedication to protecting its digital infrastructure.
