Ankara: China has been seeking 'unity' and 'cooperation' to build 'healthy and stable' relations with the EU, according to Foreign Minister Wang Yi. Wang's comments came in a phone conversation late Tuesday with Emmanuel Bonne, diplomatic adviser to the French president, a statement from Beijing said.

According to Anadolu Agency, Wang emphasized the importance of resolving specific economic and trade frictions through consultation, given the 'increasingly complex' global situation. He expressed hope that France would collaborate with China to send a positive signal of unity and cooperation, which would promote the healthy and stable development of China-France and China-Europe relations.

The statement also quoted Emmanuel Bonne, who highlighted France's opposition to trade wars and tariff wars, affirming a willingness to resolve economic and trade frictions through consultations with China. Bonne also emphasized the importance of maintaining high-level exchanges and close strategic communication with China to jointly resist camp confrontation.

During their discussion, the two sides exchanged views on the ongoing Moscow-Kyiv war. Bonne expressed France's hope for China to play an important role in achieving a fair, solid, and sustainable peace agreement. Wang reiterated China's stance on resolving the crisis through dialogue and negotiation, emphasizing that the process should respect the will of the parties involved and should not be influenced by third-party interests.

Wang further stated that China supports the achievement of a fair, lasting, and binding peace agreement acceptable to all parties concerned and believes in inclusive participation in the peace talks process.
