Beijing: The US is targeting the global mobile industry ecosystem with "malignant cyber activities," as stated in a report by the China Cybersecurity Industry Alliance (CCIA). The report highlights the extensive capabilities of US intelligence agencies in penetrating mobile smart terminals and communication systems.

According to Anadolu Agency, the CCIA report outlines that compromised devices include SIM cards, firmware, operating systems, software applications, data lines, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular networks, GPS, and other data interfaces. It also mentions operator systems, the entire mobile industry ecosystem, and data centers of large internet and IT vendors. The report concludes that the US intelligence agencies' attack penetration capability is widespread.

The report further claims that US intelligence agencies have dissected the production and manufacturing processes, application scenarios, and network communication of smart terminal devices. This has allegedly allowed them to access global personnel, accounts, equipment, links, code numbers, and locations, creating comprehensive cyberspace operation maps. These activities are said to pose a significant threat to the national security of various countries, warranting global vigilance.

Additionally, the report criticizes Washington for not upholding its cybersecurity responsibilities as a major power. It accuses the US of failing to address global concerns about "promoting the militarization of cyberspace and abusing the advantages of supply chains and information chains."

In response, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun expressed Beijing's "grave concern" over the US's alleged malicious cyber activities as revealed in the report. Guo asserted that "the US should give an explanation to the world in a responsible attitude."
