Moscow: Kyrgyzstan announced that it has delivered an official diplomatic note to Russia in response to the recent detention of its citizens in Moscow. The action was taken following a meeting between Kyrgyz Deputy Foreign Minister Almaz Imangaziev and Russian Ambassador Sergey Vakunov, as stated in a release from the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry.

According to Anadolu Agency, the note requested detailed information regarding the basis for the detention and the reported use of force against Kyrgyz citizens. Additionally, it urged the Russian authorities to address any unwarranted actions by law enforcement personnel involved in the incident.

The diplomatic note also emphasized the need for effective measures to safeguard the rights of Kyrgyz nationals and prevent similar incidents in the future, which could potentially strain the alliance and strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Russia.

The incident in question occurred when Moscow police conducted a raid on a bathhouse, leading to the arrest of 24 Kyrgyz citizens. While 20 of those detained were subsequently released, four individuals are facing deportation, as per information from Kyrgyzstan's Labor, Social Security and Migration Ministry.
