London: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Monday held a 'good and detailed' phone conversation with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer to discuss joint efforts toward ceasefire and long-term peace. Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of continued cooperation between Ukraine, the UK, France, and the US, ahead of a new round of talks set for Wednesday in London.

According to Anadolu Agency, Zelenskyy expressed readiness to move forward constructively, as demonstrated in previous discussions. He reiterated that an unconditional ceasefire must be the initial step toward achieving peace, and stressed that Russia's actions are prolonging the conflict. The conversation also included discussions on collaborating within broader European security frameworks, a sentiment Zelenskyy echoed with gratitude to Britain.

The UK, alongside France, is spearheading the 'coalition of the willing' to deploy peacekeeping forces if a peace agreement is reached between Russia and Ukraine.
