Istanbul: Trkiye's flag air carrier Turkish Airlines announced on Monday that it has increased its Istanbul-Damascus scheduled flights from seven to 12 per week. The airline stated that this change will take effect starting July 8.

According to Anadolu Agency, Turkish Airlines resumed its flights to Damascus in January, following a suspension in April 2012 due to the conflict in Syria. Initially planned for three days a week, the flights were later operated daily to accommodate the rising demand.
