Trkiye’s President and Australia’s Governor-General Discuss Global and Regional Issues

Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Australia's Governor-General Sam Mostyn engaged in discussions regarding bilateral ties and pressing global and regional issues, as reported by Trkiye's Communications Directorate. The meeting took place in Ankara, where Erdogan emphasized Turkey's commitment to enhancing cooperation with Australia in sectors such as trade, tourism, and transportation, aiming to strengthen the existing deep ties between the two nations.

According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan highlighted the importance of intensifying international efforts to halt Israeli aggression in the Palestinian territories, particularly in Gaza. He expressed Turkey's dedication to facilitating the delivery of aid to the region and reiterated that achieving lasting peace could be possible through a two-state solution.

The meeting at the Presidential Complex was attended by Trkiye's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Erdogan's chief adviser, and other officials, highlighting the significance of the discussions on both bilateral and international fronts.
