Trkiye’s BIST 100 Up 1.92% at Thursday’s Close

Ankara: The Turkish benchmark stock index closed Thursday at 9,490.90 points, marking a rise of 1.92%, or 178.77 points, from its previous close.

According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 index commenced the day at 9,353.61, gaining 41.48 points from the previous close. Throughout the trading session, the index fluctuated between a low of 9,301.42 and a high of 9,493.83. Out of the total indexes, 79 increased in value, while 18 ended the day with losses.

The daily transaction volume was reported at 100.2 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to $2.61 billion. The overall value of the index reached 8.64 trillion liras, approximately $226.7 billion. As of 6.30 pm local time (1530GMT), the exchange rate for USD/TRY was 38.3180, euro/lira was 43.6635, and the British pound traded at 51.0750.

The price for an ounce of gold was recorded at $3,328.80, with Brent oil priced at $65.40 per barrel.
