Gaza: Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip have resulted in the deaths of at least 56 more Palestinians, bringing the total death toll to 51,495 since the onset of hostilities in October 2023, according to the Health Ministry.

According to Anadolu Agency, a statement from the ministry revealed that 108 additional injured individuals were transported to hospitals in the past 24 hours, raising the total number of injuries to 117,524 amid the continuing Israeli military actions. The statement also highlighted the ongoing rescue challenges, noting that many victims remain trapped under debris and on roads, with rescue operations hindered by the circumstances.

The current conflict escalated when the Israeli army initiated a surprise aerial campaign on the Gaza Strip on March 18. This campaign has led to the deaths of 2,111 people and injuries to 5,483 others, despite a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that had been in place since January.

In November, the International Criminal Court took significant legal actions by issuing arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, citing war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Furthermore, Israel is currently facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice concerning its military actions in the enclave.
