Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, concluded Monday's trading session at 9,306.96 points, marking a 1.33% decrease from the previous close. The index, which kicked off the week at 9,457.25 points, experienced a loss of 125.59 points from Friday's closing figures.

According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 index recorded its lowest value of the day at 9,306.96 points, while the highest point reached was 9,464.53. The total market value of the BIST 100 was approximately 8.48 trillion Turkish liras, equivalent to $221.8 billion, with a daily trading volume reported at 89 billion Turkish liras or $2.31 billion.

Throughout the trading day, 17 stocks on the index managed to rise, whereas 82 stocks declined compared to the previous closing. In the commodities market, the price of an ounce of gold stood at $3,333.60, and Brent crude oil was priced at approximately $64.60 per barrel as of 6.20 pm local time (1520GMT).

Currency exchange rates also saw fluctuations, with the US dollar trading at 38.4290 Turkish liras, the euro at 43.7610 Turkish liras, and the British pound at 51.4940 Turkish liras.
