Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has urged for a swift de-escalation of tensions between Pakistan and India. Speaking after a Cabinet meeting in the capital Ankara, Erdogan emphasized the urgent need to prevent the situation from evolving into a more serious conflict.

According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan stated, "We want the escalating tensions between Pakistan and India to be de-escalated as soon as possible." He further stressed Turkey's consistent position against new conflicts in their region and beyond, highlighting the importance of peace and stability.

In addition to addressing the tensions between Pakistan and India, Erdogan also extended his condolences to the Iranian people following a tragic explosion at a port near Bandar Abbas.
