Tashkent: Trkiye and Uzbekistan have signed the 8th Term Joint Economic Commission (JEC) Protocol, accompanied by an 82-article Action Plan. The agreement was finalized during a meeting between Cevdet Yilmaz, Vice President of Trkiye, and Jamshid Kuchkarov, Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, in the capital city of Tashkent.

According to Anadolu Agency, the protocol encompasses sectors such as trade, investments, transportation, energy, agriculture, and industry. Among the significant elements of the action plan are the expansion of the Preferential Trade Agreement, the assurance of freedom of transit in logistics, and the development of joint capacity in energy and mining fields.

Yilmaz emphasized Trkiye's determination to deepen its "deep-rooted brotherhood" with Uzbekistan, referring to it as the "ancestral homeland." He expressed confidence that this robust cooperation would benefit the common future of the Turkic World. Yilmaz also conveyed his hopes that the protocol, the Action Plan, and the signed agreements will be beneficial for both countries and their business communities.
