Istanbul: A new documentary by the Women and Democracy Foundation's cultural initiative KADEM Sanat captures the voices of two Palestinian women artists resisting occupation through their work.

According to Anadolu Agency, the documentary, titled "Some Stories Cannot Be Silenced," showcases the journey of painter Amal Abu al Sibah from Gaza and musician Sadin Tavil from Jerusalem as they use art to convey memory, resistance, and hope amidst Israeli occupation. Through their creative expressions, these artists transform their personal experiences into powerful messages that resonate beyond their immediate surroundings.

Amal Abu al Sibah, a 25-year-old painter, returned to Gaza after completing her studies, determined to use her art as a means of defiance. She began painting on the ruins left by the conflict, turning the last standing wall of a bombed building into a canvas for a female figure. This artwork now serves as a quiet yet potent symbol of resistance, embodying her belief that art can be a weapon to defend her country and its narrative.
