Istanbul: The Turkish benchmark stock index concluded Thursday's trading session at 9,520.22 points, marking a decrease of 1.71% from the previous day's close.
According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 index began the day at 9,614.75 points but saw a decline of 165.89 points from Wednesday's closing figures. The index recorded a low of 9,510.33 and reached a high of 9,651.34 during the trading session.
Out of the indexes, 83 experienced a drop in value, while 17 ended the day with gains. The daily transaction volume was recorded at 93.4 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to $2.37 billion, with the overall index valued at 8.63 trillion liras, or approximately $220.8 billion.
The exchange rates as of 6.20 p.m. local time (1520GMT) were noted as follows: USD/TRY at 39.3450, euro/lira at 45.6705, and the British pound at 53.6005. Additionally, the price of an ounce of gold stood at $3,383.05, and Brent oil was priced at $69.00 per barrel.
