Gaza City: At least 55,207 Palestinians have been killed in Israel's genocidal war on the Gaza Strip since October 2023, the Health Ministry said on Thursday. A ministry statement reported that 103 bodies were brought to hospitals in the last 24 hours, while 427 people were injured, increasing the total number of injuries in the Israeli onslaught to 127,821. The statement added that many victims remain trapped under the rubble and on the roads, as rescuers struggle to reach them.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Israeli army resumed its attacks on the Gaza Strip on March 18, killing 4,924 people and injuring 15,780 others. This renewed offensive shattered a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that had taken effect in January.

In a significant development last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, citing war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Furthermore, Israel is currently facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its actions in the enclave.
