Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, concluded Monday at 9,350.01 points, marking an increase of 0.41% from its previous close. The index commenced the week at 9,308.75 points, gaining 38.13 points since Friday's close.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index experienced its lowest value of the day at 9,218.78 points, while reaching a daily high of 9,434.14 points. The total market capitalization of the BIST 100 was approximately 8.48 trillion Turkish liras, equivalent to $216.1 billion, with a daily trading volume reaching 89.9 billion Turkish liras, or $2.28 billion.

Throughout the trading day, 61 stocks on the index recorded gains, whereas 34 saw declines in comparison to the previous close. In the commodities market, the price of an ounce of gold stood at $3,404.90, and Brent crude oil was priced at around $71.05 per barrel as of 6.30 local time (1530GMT).

On the currency front, the exchange rate for the US dollar against the Turkish lira was 39.3620, the euro traded at 45.6625 Turkish liras, and one British pound was equivalent to 53.5840 Turkish liras.
