Tel Aviv: The Israeli army announced early Monday that it intercepted a ballistic missile launched from Iran. Sirens had sounded across central Israel following the missile launch, but there were no immediate reports of injuries.

According to Anadolu Agency, initial reports suggested that Iran initiated a new wave of strikes against Israel. However, Iran's semi-official Mehr News Agency and Fars News Agency reported that the missile directed towards Israel was launched from Yemen. There has been no confirmation of this claim from either Yemen's Houthi group or Israeli sources.

Iranian media had earlier reported Israeli airstrikes targeting Iran's Parchin military complex. This strike occurred amidst a US-backed Israeli military campaign against Iran that began on June 13, which led to Tehran launching retaliatory attacks on Israel.

Israeli authorities have reported that at least 25 people have been killed and hundreds injured in the Iranian missile attacks since the escalation began. Meanwhile, the Iranian Health Ministry has stated that at least 430 people have been killed and more than 3,500 wounded in the ongoing Israeli assault.
