London: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer in London to discuss enhancing defense cooperation and increasing sanctions on Russian military production. The discussions aimed to address ongoing Russian aggression and seek pathways toward peace.

According to Anadolu Agency, Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of saving lives by halting Russian strikes and promoting peace efforts. The Ukrainian President identified three primary priorities from the discussions: increasing political and diplomatic coordination, expanding joint defense production, and implementing sanctions on Russian enterprises involved in military system manufacturing, such as Oreshnik.

Zelenskyy condemned collaboration with Russian weapons manufacturers, calling it a crime against peace, and urged for sanctions on companies not yet affected by existing measures. Additionally, he engaged with UK parliamentary leaders, including House of Commons Speaker Lindsay Hoyle and House of Lords Speaker John McFall, to discuss the significance of transatlantic unity and the role of parliaments in countering Russian aggression.

Expressing gratitude for the UK's ongoing support, Zelenskyy noted that many Ukrainians feel at home in the UK. This meeting marks the first official talks between Zelenskyy and Starmer since the UK general election last July, reaffirming London's persistent support for Kyiv.
