Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will attend a two-day NATO summit in The Hague starting Tuesday, as announced by the country's communications chief.

According to Anadolu Agency, Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun stated on X that leaders will engage in strategic-level discussions addressing threats and risks impacting the Euro-Atlantic region. A significant topic on the agenda is a new defense investment pledge, which aims to increase allied defense spending to align with current security needs.

Altun also highlighted that NATO's efforts in deterrence and defense, concerning core threats identified by the alliance, will be part of the discussions. On the sidelines of the summit, Erdogan is expected to conduct bilateral meetings with several heads of state and government.
