Turkish Stock Exchange Sees 3.3% Increase at Tuesday Close

Istanbul: The Turkish benchmark stock index closed Tuesday at 9,448.90 points, marking an increase of 3.36% from the previous close. This rise in the BIST 100 index followed a day that began with the index at 9,419.14, ultimately gaining 307.59 points compared to Monday's close.

According to Anadolu Agency, the index experienced fluctuations throughout the day, with the lowest point recorded at 9,302.93 and the highest at 9,483.05. Out of the total indexes, 91 gained in value, while 8 ended the day with losses.

The total transaction volume reached 120.6 billion Turkish liras, equating to approximately $3 billion. The overall value of the index was reported to be 8.6 trillion liras, or $216.7 billion. The exchange rates for the day showed USD/TRY at 39.6120, EUR/TRY at 46.1210, and GBP/TRY at 54.0410.

Gold prices were reported at $3,306.10 per ounce, while Brent oil was priced at $67.05 per barrel.
