Occupied west bank: Attacks by illegal Israeli settlers on Palestinians in the occupied West Bank have surged by 30% this year, Israeli figures showed on Sunday. Israel's Army Radio, citing government data, reported that the first half of 2025 witnessed 414 settler attacks, a significant increase from 318 in the same period last year.

According to Anadolu Agency, this growth represents not only an increase in the number of attacks but also in their severity. The radio, referencing a senior military official, highlighted that the attacks are becoming more severe. In 2024, illegal Israeli settlers staged 679 attacks against Palestinians in the West Bank.

Since the start of Israel's assault on Gaza in October 2023, at least 986 Palestinians have been killed and more than 7,000 injured in the West Bank by Israeli forces and illegal settlers, as reported by the Palestinian Health Ministry. Last July, the International Court of Justice declared Israel's occupation of Palestinian territory illegal and called for the evacuation of all settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
