Ankara: Trkiye's defense and aviation sectors have experienced a significant boost in exports, recording a 25% increase in the first half of the year compared to the previous year. The exports reached a total value of $3.6 billion, according to the president of Trkiye's Defense Industries Secretariat.
According to Anadolu Agency, Haluk Gorgun announced on X that the defense and aviation exports for June 2025 alone saw a 10.4% rise compared to the same period last year, amounting to $623 million. Gorgun highlighted that the total exports over the past 12 months have surged by 23.1%, reaching $7.45 billion, emphasizing that this growth is a result of a strategic development plan in the industry.
He further stated, "Our total exports in the last 12 months increased by 23.1%, reaching $7.45 billion. This rise is not just a statistic; it is the reflection of a development architecture designed with vision in the field. We are making the Turkish defense industry visible all around the world."
Additionally, Trkiye's overall export figures for June revealed an 8% increase, totaling $20.54 billion, showcasing a robust performance across various sectors.
