Gaza: At least 57,762 Palestinians have been killed in Israel's ongoing military operations in the Gaza Strip since October 2023, the Health Ministry reported on Thursday.

According to Anadolu Agency, a statement from the ministry highlighted that 82 bodies were brought to hospitals in the last 24 hours, with 247 individuals injured, increasing the total number of injuries in the conflict to 137,656. The statement also expressed concerns about many victims still being trapped under rubble, hindering rescue operations.

The ministry further noted that nine Palestinians were killed and over 78 injured while attempting to receive humanitarian aid in the last 24 hours. This brings the total number of aid seekers killed by Israeli fire since May 27 to 782, with 5,179 others wounded.

The Israeli military resumed its attacks on the Gaza Strip on March 18, resulting in 7,200 deaths and 25,615 injuries, disrupting a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that had been in place since January.

In a related development last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, charging them with war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
