Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed 20 agreements during an official visit by Tokayev to Ankara. The agreements were finalized as part of the fifth meeting of the Trkiye-Kazakhstan High-Level Strategic Council.

According to Anadolu Agency, the agreements span various sectors, including energy, transport, and media, reflecting the comprehensive nature of cooperation between the two nations. Key signings included a cooperation agreement between the Turkish Petroleum Corporation and NC Kazmunaygaz JSC, and a business development agreement for freight transportation via the Middle Corridor railway route.

Anadolu and the Kazakhstan Presidential Administration's Presidential Television and Radio Complex also signed a cooperation agreement. The Turkish Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency and the Kazakhstan Financial Market Regulation and Development Agency agreed on a memorandum of understanding to enhance financial cooperation.

Further agreements were made to promote collaboration in media and information, international road transport, and free economic zones. The memorandum of understanding on cooperation in artificial intelligence, innovation, and space activities was another highlight, reflecting a commitment to technological advancement.

In health and education, multiple memorandums were signed to enhance cooperation, including initiatives in drug and medical device expertise and educational activities. Energy cooperation was also cemented with agreements in energy, mining, and urban planning.

Lastly, a technical agreement on cooperation with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon was signed, underlining the defense collaboration between the two countries. The diverse range of agreements showcases the deepening relationship between Trkiye and Kazakhstan.
