Ankara: The partnership between Trkiye and Syria is described as 'guided by destiny,' with a focus on a 'shared future,' according to Syrian Economy and Industry Minister Nidal Al Sha'ar during a meeting held on Tuesday. This meeting, which took place in Ankara, also included Turkish Trade Minister Omer Bolat and Rifat Hisarciklioglu, president of Trkiye's Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges.

According to Anadolu Agency, Al-Sha'ar acknowledged the significant economic growth of Trkiye, noting its rise to become 'one of the largest economies worldwide in two decades.' He emphasized that the relations between Ankara and Damascus are built on 'mutual respect and sincerity.' The minister highlighted that no other countries have contributed to each other as much as Trkiye and Syria, stressing the necessity of establishing partnerships in cultural, social, economic, industrial, and production sectors.

He further elaborated on the experience of Trkiye, describing it as a 'miracle' and acknowledging the challenges involved. Al-Sha'ar outlined plans to initiate the partnership with small and medium-sized enterprises, eventually expanding to larger projects. He expressed confidence in the Turkish economy and business community, especially in terms of investments.

The minister revealed plans for Trkiye to establish production plants in Syria and export industrial goods, with investments from Trkiye expected to boost production. Al-Sha'ar also mentioned that the 15-year hiatus in relations during the civil war would be addressed through collective efforts aimed at rebuilding Syria. He concluded by affirming the certainty of the Trkiye-Syria partnership, which he believes is destined to bring the two nations together.
