Moscow: A final document after the upcoming meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump in Alaska on Friday is not expected, the Kremlin said on Thursday. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov informed reporters that such a document is "not expected" following the talks and that nothing has been prepared. "And it is unlikely that there will be any document," he added.

According to Anadolu Agency, Peskov mentioned that there will be a joint press conference following the summit. During this event, the Russian president is expected to outline the "range of agreements and understandings that he will be able to achieve." The preparations for the summit were made within a limited time frame, and current discussions on the Ukraine war are taking place at the bilateral level. Kyiv's position will be considered at a later stage.

Peskov highlighted that Putin's earlier meeting with Trump's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, in Moscow was productive and paved the way for the summit. He warned against rushing to predict the outcome of the talks and urged to "see how the conversation goes."

In a separate comment to Russian journalist Pavel Zarubin shared on Telegram, Peskov revealed that Putin will visit one of the country's regions before heading to Alaska.
