Washington: The White House announced that US President Donald Trump is well-prepared for the upcoming summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska. The meeting is set to take place on Friday, with several strategic measures in place.

According to Anadolu Agency, White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt conveyed that President Trump has numerous options available, including sanctions, that he could employ if necessary during the discussions. However, Leavitt emphasized that Trump's primary approach remains diplomatic negotiation, as he seeks to resolve ongoing conflicts.

Leavitt detailed the summit logistics, stating that President Trump will leave the White House early Friday and head to Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska. The agenda includes a one-on-one meeting with Putin, a lunch with delegations from both nations, and a press conference.

"What comes after that meeting is up to President Trump," Leavitt remarked. She highlighted Trump's intention to engage directly with President Putin to explore potential progress. The ultimate goal of the summit is to exhaust all diplomatic avenues to peacefully resolve the prolonged conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
