Brisbane: A magnitude 5.6 earthquake struck eastern Australia on Saturday, according to the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC). The quake occurred at 9.49 am local time, with its epicenter near the Wrattens National Park, northwest of Brisbane.

According to Anadolu Agency, Australia's Bureau of Meteorology stated that there is no tsunami threat to the country following the earthquake. As of now, there is no immediate information available about any damage or injuries resulting from the quake.
