Ankara: On Sunday, lashed out at media coverage of his Alaska summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin, claiming that news outlets distort the truth regardless of his actions.

According to Anadolu Agency, Trump expressed his frustration on his social media platform, Truth Social, stating that the media consistently misrepresents the truth when it comes to him. He claimed that there is nothing he could say or do that would prompt honest reporting from the media outlets. Trump described the meeting with Putin as "great" and criticized the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, referring to it as "Biden's stupid War, a war that should have never happened."

In another post, Trump suggested there is extreme bias against him, stating that even if he managed to negotiate Russia giving up Moscow as part of a deal, the media and what he referred to as their "partner," the Radical Left Democrats, would still criticize him for making a "terrible mistake and a very bad deal."

During the three-hour closed-door meeting on Friday, both Trump and Putin reportedly reached an "understanding," according to the Russian leader. Trump emphasized that it is now the responsibility of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and European leaders to follow through on the discussions held at the summit.

As a follow-up to the summit, Zelenskyy is scheduled to meet Trump at the White House on Monday, alongside several European leaders, to discuss further actions.
