Gaza: At least 62,192 Palestinians have been killed in Israel's genocidal war on the Gaza Strip since October 2023, the Health Ministry said on Thursday.

According to Anadolu Agency, a ministry statement revealed that 70 bodies were brought to hospitals in the last 24 hours, while 356 people were injured, increasing the total number of injuries to 157,114 in the ongoing Israeli onslaught. The statement also highlighted the dire situation on the ground, noting that numerous victims remain trapped under rubble and on roads as rescuers struggle to reach them.

The ministry further reported that in the last 24 hours alone, 18 Palestinians were killed and over 117 injured in Israeli attacks while attempting to secure humanitarian aid. This brings the total number of Palestinians killed while seeking aid to 2,036, with over 15,064 others wounded since May 27. The escalating humanitarian crisis has also resulted in two deaths from starvation and malnutrition in the past day, raising the total death toll from starvation to 271, including 112 children.

The Israeli military resumed its attacks on the Gaza Strip on March 18, resulting in the deaths of 10,646 people and injuries to 45,073 others, effectively shattering a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that had been in place since January. The ongoing conflict has drawn international attention, with the International Criminal Court issuing arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Additionally, Israel faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice concerning its actions in the enclave.
