Turkish Navy to Showcase Maritime Strength in Istanbul Strait Parade During TEKNOFEST ‘Blue Homeland’ Event

Istanbul: Selected units of the Turkish Navy will parade along the Istanbul Strait on Sunday as part of "Blue Homeland," a TEKNOFEST event showcasing Trkiye's naval and maritime capabilities. Participating ships include the TCG Anadolu, TCG Savarona, and the TCG Hizirreis submarine, the event organizers said.

According to Anadolu Agency, the parade is scheduled to occur from 3.30 pm to 6.30 pm local time. The fleet will commence its journey at the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, passing through several key locations including Sariyer, Tarabya, Emirgan, Kanlica, Rumeli Hisari, Kandilli, Bebek, and Ortakoy. The parade will culminate at Dolmabahce Palace, where President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is expected to salute the fleet.

Following this, the naval display will continue along the coasts of Moda, Caddebostan, and Maltepe. The TEKNOFEST Blue Homeland activities are set to occur on August 30-31 at the Istanbul Naval Shipyard Command and will feature an array of events.

The program will include naval ship model exhibitions, virtual reality experience zones, demonstrations by SAT and SAS commandos, boat races, and a ship design workshop, offering a comprehensive glimpse into Trkiye's naval prowess.
