Turkish Stock Exchange Ends Tuesday With Gains

Istanbul: The Turkish benchmark stock index closed Tuesday at 10,962.02 points, marking an increase of 0.30% from the previous close.

According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 index, which began the day at 10,960.78, saw a gain of 35.25 points from Monday's closing. The index recorded its lowest point at 10,915.63 and reached a daily high of 10,993.61. Throughout the trading day, 48 indexes experienced gains in value, while 50 ended the session with losses.

The daily transaction volume was reported at 128.6 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to $3.14 billion, with the overall value of the index standing at 10.16 trillion liras, or $249.17 billion. At 6.20 pm local time (1520GMT), the USD/TRY exchange rate was 40.8915, the euro/lira exchange rate was 47.7620, and the British pound was trading at 55.2535. Meanwhile, the price of an ounce of gold was $3,323.85, and the barrel price of Brent oil was $65.70.
