Turkish Stock Exchange Reaches New Record High

Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, commenced trading on Tuesday at a new all-time high of 11,489.07 points, marking a slight increase of 0.1% or 11.27 points from the previous closing.

According to Anadolu Agency, the previous day saw the BIST 100 rise by 0.93%, achieving a record high of 11,477.80 points, with a daily transaction volume reaching 142.9 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to $3.48 billion. This performance highlights the ongoing strength in Trkiye's stock market.

By 09.50 am local time (0650GMT) on Tuesday, exchange rates were recorded at 41.0150 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 47.7180 to the euro, and 55.2465 to the British pound. Meanwhile, the price of an ounce of gold stood at $3,376.30, and Brent crude oil was trading at $67.85 per barrel.
