Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, commenced Wednesday's trading session at 12,071.36, marking a 0.4% increase or a rise of 47.57 points.

According to Anadolu Agency - English, the previous day saw the BIST 100 surge by 2.75%, closing at 12,023.78 points with a daily transaction volume of 175 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to $4.07 billion. As of 10.05 am local time (0705GMT), the exchange rates were recorded at 43.0530 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 50.4000 to the euro, and 58.2300 to the British pound.

Additionally, the commodity market reflected the price of an ounce of gold at $4,446.20, while Brent crude oil was trading at $59.8 per barrel.
