Jenin: Israeli forces killed a Palestinian man and wounded a child during a military raid in neighborhoods of Jenin, in the northern occupied West Bank.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Palestinian Ministry of Health identified the deceased as Mohammad Salameh, 25, who was reportedly shot in the abdomen and neck by Israeli forces. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society confirmed these details and added that a 15-year-old Palestinian boy was injured by bullet shrapnel near the same location.

Sources indicated that Israeli forces stormed several neighborhoods in central Jenin, opening fire on Palestinian residents. This incident is part of a broader pattern of violence affecting the region.

Official Palestinian figures reveal that more than 1,051 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank, with approximately 10,300 wounded and over 20,000 arrested, including 1,600 children, since the escalation against the Gaza Strip began two years ago. Additionally, since October 2023, Israeli attacks have resulted in nearly 67,200 Palestinian deaths in the enclave, most of whom were women and children, rendering the area uninhabitable.
