Kazakhstan: Kazakhstan should become the main logistics hub of Eurasia, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said Friday, stressing that the country has the necessary potential and vast opportunities to achieve this goal. Speaking at a ceremony marking Republic Day, Tokayev recalled the recent launch of the second line of the Dostyk-Moyynty railway, describing it as the largest infrastructure project in the country's transport sector since independence.

According to Anadolu Agency, Tokayev stated, 'Furthermore, 13,000 kilometers of roads have been built and repaired this year. We now have the ability to transport cargo through China. Given the instability of the global economy, this can be considered a significant achievement.' He emphasized that Kazakhstan must be 'a just, safe, clean and strong state,' calling this not only a national strategic goal but also 'a sacred duty of every citizen.'

Tokayev highlighted the necessity of overcoming challenges to become a leading nation, emphasizing the importance of preserving stability and harmony for future generations. In a complex and changing world, he noted that progress requires unity and determination. 'We will make bold decisions and move forward confidently toward a bright future. Only then will our era be remembered as a time of historic transformation,' he added.

Highlighting global instability, Tokayev noted that Kazakhstan continues to develop steadily and has established friendly relations with all countries. 'We have positioned ourselves as a reliable partner and attracted major investments in energy, transport, logistics, IT, agriculture, and other sectors,' he said. He underscored the importance of a balanced foreign policy 'based on diplomacy and mutual respect,' emphasizing the need for dialogue and compromise among nations.

Tokayev also pointed to the opening of the UN Regional Center for Sustainable Development Goals in Almaty as a major milestone and recalled Kazakhstan's recent initiatives at the UN General Assembly to address global challenges. 'The world must build a fair system of international relations that takes into account the interests of all states. Kazakhstan, as a responsible and influential member of the global community, will continue to pursue a balanced and constructive foreign policy,' he concluded.
