Istanbul: Trkiye’s benchmark stock index opened Tuesday at 10,858.67 points, marking a modest increase of 0.05% or 5.23 points.

According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 index had closed Monday at 10,853.43 points, reflecting a decline of 0.81% and a daily transaction volume of 124 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to $2.95 billion. The Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index is scheduled to close early on Tuesday in observance of the Republic Day holiday on October 29 and will remain closed on Wednesday.

As of 09.50 am local time (0650GMT), the exchange rates were recorded at 41.9495 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 48.9095 to the euro, and 56.0135 to the British pound. Additionally, the price of an ounce of gold stood at $3,943.55, while Brent crude oil was trading at $64.75 per barrel.
