Quneitra: Israeli forces conducted a new incursion into several villages in the Quneitra countryside in southern Syria, marking the latest breach of the country's sovereignty. A patrol comprising four military vehicles and two tanks entered the villages of Al-Ajraf and Al-Mushayrifa, searching and besieging several homes, as reported by the state-run Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
According to Anadolu Agency, another Israeli convoy, consisting of seven military vehicles and two tanks, raided the village of Umm Batna and surrounded a house west of the village. This action is part of a series of cross-border raids by the Israeli army into Syria's southern provinces, including Quneitra, despite international calls to respect Syria's sovereignty.
Following the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime in late 2024, Israel expanded its occupation of the Syrian Golan Heights by seizing the demilitarized buffer zone. This expansion breached the 1974 Disengagement Agreement with Syria, raising concerns over ongoing regional tensions.
